Well, I am stuck in Forrest City Ark with a shot rear end housing.. dang thing cracked the end of the axle housing... Axle itself is ruined too. Problem with being deaf is ya don't hear these things until way too late, I guess.
Anyone know any good salvage yards nearby? It is an 02, V6 auto 2wd SIlverado.. 41 teeth ring gear 12 tooth pinion. I think I saw a Pickapart in West memphis I am gonna try and track down...
By the way had the axle not gone so far all the suggestions to repair it were spot on. I am ha;lf tempted to find someone to weld the crack up and stuff a new bearing and shaft in it ...but I think maybe I better not.
