buying tractors over internet

I'm curious about something. Do any of you actually buy tractors without first going to see them and test drive them? I see ads from all over the country and I'm wondering if you all only stay within reasonable driving distance when considering a tractor, or do you actually drive 1000 miles to look at one, or do you just go by pictures and descriptions and send the money and hope the seller is honest about the price?
