You aint kiddin. I've had real good dealings with folks from the midwest. Iowa, Neb, Mn,and both Dakota's on equipment from individuals has been good. I have been scorched a little bit from Ala, Tn, Ga,and SC. Anytime I'm dealing in Texas or Fla I automatically put on my asbestos bloomers. It seems that alot of rebuilt equipment in these two states has been rebuilt with a paint gun and some times a new battery. I'm not just down on these "good ole boys" I live in Texas so I know these folks. I'll send a small deposit to hold something, but I don't transfer any money til I see the item. When I get there and a self proclaimed male glamor model comes out in his khaki dockers and them Elvis shades, I just thank them for their time and ask for my deposit back. No matter if I get it back or not I still aint interested in that particular deal. You're right I think I could contribute to a "How Not To Buy It" book. Through the years I have gotten a some wiser, but every once and again you just naturally get snake bit.
