With vision worse than 20/400 for many years, I went for lasik. Took the guy 2 tries to get it right, but I ended up with 20/20 in one eye, 20/15 in the other. Only need drugstore reading glasses & the savings on prescription glasses will pay for the lasik in a couple more years. But the greater benefit is I can see so much better than with any prescription correction. You don't realize until you no longer need glasses that the correction you get is only good near the center, & the worse your vision, the smaller the area of good correction. For anyone considering lasik, I highly recommend it! And if you aren't thinking about it, think again!
