O/T eye glasses, lenscrafters flex frames!

Well, I just broke another set of those. I have had Lenscrafters flex frames for many years now and had one of the first sets of them when they came out. Unfortunatly I lost my original frames in the lake while riding with a friend in his high powered speed boat. I had loved my first set, they were wonderful and extremely tough, I never had any problems with them over many years. Lenscrafters told me the new frames had been changed alittle, I asked them in what way, but they told me they couldn't say as that is some big company secret. I think I'm starting to see how they've been changed!, I just broke my 2nd set in less than a year, they both broke the very same spot, right in the bridge across the nose. I also have a complaint about the scratch resistant coating, I always buy the double sided coating, using a clean bath towel to clean them will scratch them all to heck, and I'm not talking about a corse towel either. I took that up with them and was simply informed that I was cleaning them improperly. What happened to Lenscrafters?, I know they used to have excellent glasses, that lens coating really used to work nice and didn't scratch easily. Kinda hesitating taking my buisness back there today, I know they are going to charge me another $200+ for new frames and there is going to be no warranty because they gave me alot of grief before and ended up paying for half the cost.
Now I don't wrench on my glasses like they do in the commercials and never did, but after 6-9 months of regular wear, they snap at the bridge and both times while I was wiping them off. I've had regular glasses that lasted a whole lot longer than these. I've also had to take them back a couple of times to have them readjusted after they'd loosen up, didn't have that problem with the old ones either.
