If you have a factory bumper (the thing that was on there when it came off the dealer's lot), I wouldn't pull anything heavier than a lawn-mower. I've seen 'em folded in the middle with only a few hundred lbs of tongue weight. Lots of folks swear by receiver hitches and I'm not knocking 'em, but I've always relied on HEAVY-DUTY aftermarket bumpers. I'm not a big fan of pulling over a few (very few) thousand lbs with a half-ton truck; if you compare the bearings in the rear-end (and how they're made) with a three quarter or one ton, you'll see what I mean. Personally, I wouldn't pull a 7000 AC behind a half-ton pickup, on any kind of trailer. Others have safely pulled that size tractor and will disagree. My opinion only and we all have one (or more). I'm unanimous in this. (With apologies to Mrs. Slocum)
