Early 50s Farmall runs on one of four

Neighbor has a 4 banger that seems to only run on one cylinder part of the time. It has new plugs,wires & dist. The front (#1) plug looks good but the remaining three are wet. Not much power. Odd thing is that if you disconnect #2, #3 or #4 plug wires there is no change but when you reconnect it and have the wire just starting on the plug the RPMs increase noticably. With all three of the wires just haning on the power is improved. This is no way to run a tractor. Any Suggestions I can pass to my neighbor.
