Wardner, what is your goal here? I dont understand your problem, other than Marty is a bad seller with a product that you need/want. What do you want to do, get Marty booted off Ebay? If thats your goal, that can be done pretty easily, especially if you want/need some more parts he has. Do you just want to buy his parts now after he has banned you from buying? Thats easy to do also.

Ebay can be considered a game but you have to know how to play the game to "win". If you know the rules and have a goal, you can win at the game. You have to remember, the deck is stacked against Ebay sellers now more than ever before but you cant use traditional methods like leaving negs to hurt the seller, as you found out, all that does is get you blocked from buying from that seller.

When you look at Martys feedback, it seems pretty clear to me that there are a TON of people that for whatever reason, are being too soft on him. Just look at the sheer number of people that are only leaving neutral feedback on parts that seem to have showed up as junk. If just half of those people would properly ding Marty and file under buyer protection, marty would no longer be allowed to sell on Ebay. http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=marty2374&Dirn=Received+by

Some people have stated that because Marty makes Ebay money, they wont do anything about him. Thats completely false. When transactions start costing Ebay time and money, they will drop sellers like hot potatoes. Ebay KNOWS that when buyers get pissed after getting ripped off, they stop buying. When buyers stop buying, sale prices are lower and since Ebay gets paid based on sale prices, pissed off and ripped off buyers really hurt Ebays bottom line. Ebay has acknowlaged this fact many times and its the prime reason for the changes in feedback and listing fees that have been made in the past several years. Meg Whitman has had several interviews that has also detailed this issue. And its a BIG issue. But to be sure, Ebay WILL drop Marty like a bad habit if his buyers push the right buttons. The question is, do you really want to push them? It sounds like Marty has the drug that you want....

Today's Featured Article - Choosin, Mounting and Using a Bush Hog Type Mower - by Francis Robinson. Looking around at my new neighbors, most of whom are city raised and have recently acquired their first mini-farms of five to fifteen acres and also from reading questions ask at various discussion sites on the web it is frighteningly apparent that a great many guys (and a few gals) are learning by trial and error and mostly error how to use a very dangerous piece of farm equipment. It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro ... [Read Article]
