Before doing a tune up for the first time the tractor was running rough and had very little power. Now after plugs, points, condenser, rotor, distributor cap and re-timing she seems to have her power back but is still not running as smooth as it should be. If you can imagine the sound it's like every 2 seconds or so something doesn't fire or misses by just a little bit and that saps away what should be the proper idle speed. I was have a problem with the battery not charging and seemed to solve this by taking the cover off the voltage regulator spraying in a little wd-40 to loosen up and clean the contacts. I wiped up the excess and it seems to work fine now. Could these two be related ? What in your opinions is the next step. Thanks again for all your help there is no way I would have got this far without all your help !
