HELLO ALL!! I'm back with GREAT news. After a thorough cleaning with our steam pressure washer, and a can of oven cleaner (1st time it has probably ever been washed); we filed the points, cleaned the plugs, and put fresh gas in her today and cranked her over. No more than 1/2 a revolution until she roared to life (for the first time in 18 years). The tractor runs BEAUTIFULLY and drives just as nice. The motor idles down and just purrs along, and it revs like a new one. No smoke, no weird noises, NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. I do believe we got a good one!! The transmission is super quiet, and the steering is tight too. I have found 1 issue with it, and that is the touch control system. The resivoir unit that bolts to the torque tube is LOOSE. It looks as if all of the bolts are loose, and a couple are missing (we think they have been broken off). It was very low on fluid, but its gonna have to be tightened before we try to use the hydraulics any further. Other than that small issue, we have an exceptional tractor!!! We are just thrilled! Even though we usually sell them; we are thinking we might fix this one up and keep it......who knows though. If I can figure out how to do it, I will upload the video I took today. It is a video of us cranking it up for the first time in 18 years. Maybe I can get it on here for everyone to see.
