It sounds like you"ve got a case of the gremlins! The fuel problem and the starter problem are unrelated, but as I always tell myself, anything that moves can break. As with all starter problems, check to make sure that the battery terminals are clean and tight, the ground is clean and tight, and all other terminals are clean and tight. Make sure that the battery is charged. If you have a volt/ohm meter, check for voltage at the starter terminal when you push the start button- if not there, move back down the cables until you find voltage. That should isolate your problem. If the starter has voltage, tap on it a bit. Then take the bolts that hold it on loose- sometimes the gear jams against the flywheel and that should free it up. The starter grounds through it"s base, so that must be clean and tight. Let me know what you find or give me more symptoms- I enjoy the mental exercise! These machines are tough and simple and reliable, once we get the bugs worked out. Paul
