It seems that my M may possibly have different points that they usually came with. The manual I just paid $30? (Binder books) for doesn't even mention anything other than the magneto version. The old IH dealer 50 miles away gave me the wrong points (part # 353172R91 - apparently is for the magneto versions).

Anyway, before I order another tune up kit, could someone give me the part number for these points and/or kit that works with the 49 battery ignition M that came with a one piece point set? The points I have on my M is a one piece unit that slides down over the adjustment screw (uses offset head to adjust point gap) instead of the two piece points set that I bought from the guy. The part I bought has the arm with a separate piece for adjustment of the gap. The unit I have on my M is a one piece unit with one hole in the base for the non-removable adjustment screw to slide into and another hole farther out for the removable set screw.

Hopefully this is a clear enough explanation of what I have on the M and what I bought (I'll sell it cheap if anyone wants it for their magneto M IHTK1-H points:353172R91, condenser: 353903R92, rotor: 353896R91, spark plugs: AL388).

Yeah, I should have taken it off and saw what it looked like before I went down there...
