It is pretty common for a block to crack between the sleeves. I dont think it is from freezing, I think it is from internal stress. If it is cracked at the bottom of the water jacket, it will need to be repaired as it will leak coolant into the water. A crack at the top usually wont affect things much. I have an Oliver that is cracked like that and it is used everyday and has never given any trouble. If the sleeves have a ridge around the top that you can catch with your fingernail, they are worn. If they don't I would just hone them out and reuse them. Especially if the tractor wont be used much. I think that there are O-rings around the sleeves on that motor and they should be replaced. The sleeves will need pulled for that. Josh
