How to wire a GM 4L60 trans . . for 3rd and 4th lockup?

I'm trying to figure out a way to wire-up this 4L60 I'm building so I can get converter lock-up in 3rd and 4th.

This is the situation.

I'm working on a 1986 K5 4WD diesel Blazer that has a small motorhome body on it. It is a 7000 lb. rig. It had a 700R4 that blew this summer. Having 3.08 axle-ratios along with that weight, really put a strain on the trans.

Now, I'm rebuilding and upgrading a 4L60 that I pulled from a 1991 diesel 1/2 ton Suburban. I'm also installing 3.73 ratio axles (from a 3/4 ton).

So, this 1991 4L60 is different then the 1986 700R4. This 4L60 relied on the computer and several sensors to make it lock up - along with a 4th gear pressure switch. I know I can rewire and use the 4th gear pressure switch to get lockup in 4th. But I'd also like to find a way to get 3rd lockup at times - like the 700R4 had.

So, I'm looking for options. One is - I could pull out the computer and sensors from the 1991 truck that the 4L60 came out of. I'd like to avoid that if possible.
Some of those sensors are expensive on the diesel. I have them all, but - would like to avoid IF possible. The combo- vacuum-pump/engine-speed-sensor would be hard to replace if it every failed.

I also realize I could just install an "off-on" switch for 3rd lockup, but I'm looking for better ideas.

I have the full GM factory manuals and circuit books for the 1991 truck and can't even find the circuit that shows me how the thing DID work. There are many diagrams, but GM seems to have left out the one that I really need - i.e. a 1/2 ton diesel with a 4L60. The diagram shows the 4L60 trans with just a two-wire hookup - with one lead going to the ECM. I have no idea where the other goes. The 91 has - a RPM sensor on the engine, a vehicle-speed sensor on the transfer-case, a throttle-position sensor on the injection pump, and an on-board computer. The 86 has none of those senors, but I COULD swap them over, if necessary (and I knew how).

I'm just hoping there's a simpler way to do this. Many of our trips are in the mountains where I'll be in 3rd for a lot of driving (instead of 4th).
