I fly all the time, and as others have said, you will have to take them off and run them through ths scanner anyway, they might want to look inside them as well, but if you remain patient and calm you should have no problems. I have steel-toed coyboy boots and they have passed. Don"t believe everything you hear about the TSA, they have a job to do and if you are nice to them, they will be nice to you. Also, don"t forget to remove all your piercings before going through the scanner, I once saw a girl who didn"t do that, it took her awhile to get everything out. It was fun to watch though...
