Seems I'm having a bad government day and all. So I will blow some more steam off. Filling out a paper isn't the point of my original rant, rather the time it takes to meet their work schedule, while holding down a job.

Homeland Security seems to be a way of distributing the tax dollars. They have made more paper work, thus many more government workers can justify their jobs.

I used to order the fireworks for the forth of July celebration in my home town--no way will I sign my naame to those papers, and take on the responsability of such actions. Boy do I feel safer knowing that a evil person will not purchase fireworks to take down a plane. He will be discouraged knowing he will have to fill out all those government papers, so he will give up no doubt.

Also the government grant money they had out to fire departments is a good deal, with good intentions, but the money could very often be used for better things at the fire department. I guess I should shut up, because at least it is being spent in the USA, and not over the pond.

The government has stepped up to the plate demanding more training for new firemen, but has taken away the budget for the man training the new recrutes in Iowa. They used to help pay the guy for teaching the class taht was not mandatory, but now that it is manditory we take away the funds????????

It will not be real long before all the small volenteer fire departments will be in big troubles, and probably alot will be shutting down because of the finacual demands, and the lack of training. Your EMS system is kinda in the same boat, the demands for training, and once in a while it is on a subject that is usefull.

Maybe I should learn to take a nap, so when I awake, I will be in a better mood.
