When I sand blast I use a hood the I made out of an old welding helmet, I simply pulled out the dark lens and left the clear plastic lens there, then I duct taped an old t-shirt to the helmet. The lenses need replacement after a few hours of blasting but they only cost less than a buck each. the t-shirt keeps most of the sand out of my hair, ears and from going down the back of my shirt. It makes a nasty job much more tollerable. I jerry rigged this setup till I could get a real hood, but it works so well why spend good money?
