I think most of the aftermarket cab manufacturers began making sheet metal boxes with doors and windows. My Ford 8000 has such a Cozy Cab. It is definitely not roll over protection. If the tractor rolls, the cab will crush and probably kill the driver.
But my just a few years later Hiniker 1200? series cab on Ford 9000 is definitely roll protection. Sometime in the mid 70's, govt regulations required all cabs to be tested and certified for roll protection, and they should have some kind of certification plate attached.
The Year Around Cab was certified for roll protection, but I do not know which cab models.
Some of the early OEM cabs were not capable of withstanding roll over. Minneapolis Moline had a strange cab with rear entry door that was way too soft. By 1979 all cabs had to be tested and certified.
