Either got a good one or a bad one that just ate parts and $$$. There were overly complicated engineer's wet dream built like a race engine rather than an industrial engine. The straight six in a heavy diesel is tough to beat. One of the very few V6,V8,V12,V16 series of diesels that ever worked and were durable were the two stroke Detroit Diesels.
