I milk about 40-50 cows I chop most of mine for silage and put it in a tower silo, I also do rotational grazing. I do also have a 335 baler and make some silage bales late in the season after the silo is full. I seeded 20 acres of several different varities of perenial ryegrass mixed with orchard grass, red and white clover. I only grow 12-15 acres of corn for snapping I also grow about 25 acres BMR sorgrum sudan grass which I graze, chop or make silage bales out of. The rye grass that I have already estabished generaly turns out quite well testing about 18-20% protien .70 to.75 nel and great digestability. The sudangrass get two cuttings off of and after the second cutting I seed that to annual Italian rye grass. Hope that helps feel free to email me if you have any more questions.
