I used to accept CC for my remodeling business. I had done some work for one of the BIG anchor stores, and was told by my friend-the merchandise manager there-that if I did not accept CC I would wait over 6 months to be paid. I figured there would be other people who would use the service, no big deal. First, I had to buy all the equipment. Yes, you are charged a percentage, but you are NOT allowed to charge more to that customer, so you HAVE to eat it, or risk losing the privelege. Also, there is a minimum charge, and for me, it ended up costing WAY more than I could justify. So, it all depends on how much you will use it if it will pay off.
