you are a 180 out on timing they well run sorta so change timming and on your 190 high clutch pack is out also when thes tractor get old the rubber pads that are under the deck wear out and make it hard to adjust the linkage on hi lo
Hi Ben. Well I rechecked the timing by removeing the # 1 injector and turning engine untill compresion stroke 16Deg BTDC. then i removed timing cover on pump and timing marks are aligned. Just to make sure mark was on #1 injector, I removed line from pump then bolts from pump gear and turned pump one revolution. when the timing marks lined up in the pump window , fuel came out of the #1 line fitting on pump.
Am I wrong in the way I am checking the timing? Found out today that this pump is two years old. Note: the marks in the pump window, only one is stamped on the rear disc. the one on the front is eched with an engraver by the rebuilder, not stamped. Don't know if this makes a difference or not. Do you still think I should turn the pump 180 deg? or look elsware. I don't know what you were refering to in the last part of your reply though. thanks , Hal.
