I Like the KISS method of things (keep it simple sucker).
For me, the simplest way is to save your pics in a folder in the size that they are originally. Make an empty folder. Then select the pics (usually as many as you want), right click and select "send" or "send by email". A little window will pop and tell you they are humongous and ask if you want to resize. Say yes and a fresh email will pop up with all the pics shrunk to a friendlier size. Hilight them, right click, click "copy", right click over the empty folder, right click and click paste. All will be in the new folder in the small size and you will still have the originals to play with later.
I've found modern view to be the easiest wayto upload pics. Just click upload photo and do what it says.
