The first thing I did with the flat face couplers on mine was remove them. Put on a set of ISO couplers that work with my gear.
I'd think that if you shut the engine off and rock the valve lever back and forth it might release the residual pressure in the lines. That might help. If not then I'd either dump some hot water over the couplers or heat them gently with a propane torch if they are actually frozen. It's not often that I've seen couplers freeze, but I have seen it happen once or twice...
