Recently 2 weeks ago completed the shingles on the back part of my roof, went to a lighter shade when I shingled the front side last summer. Alway's used black shingles, have been looking at colors of shingles over the past five years and it appears more people are changing to lighter colors. Hope these last longer. This time I installed the ridge vent, 40 feet in a 46' roof. Tonight it is raining part of hurricane Kyle, so this will be a test for the new shingles. cheers, Murray
