Brian, I've been twisting nuts and bolts for over 31 years for a living and several before that on my own cars/trucks/motorcycles. I finally upgraded to an MB1500 MAC box back in '02- it was five years old then and couldn't believe the difference the ball bearing slides make. My old Snap-On boxes were nineteen tears old and been in out the back of pickups hundreds of times, so I got my money's worth from them. If nothing else, the energy and time saved opening and closing the drawers makes it worth the extra money for ball bearing slides. Snap-On and Craftsman have neat ways to lock/unlatch the drawers better than others do with their slide/grip latch handles. Like one of the other guys said- catch a Snap-On,MAC or Matco dealer somewhere and see what he's got for trade-ins. They'll usually make you a deal if you offer cash or a credit card to pay all at one time! Good luck.
