Sounds like something I"d do. Oh wait I did. I bought a whole wall covered in jars and cans of nails and screws etc at a yardsale for I believe $2. The old lady was moving to a retirement community and that stuff was here late husbands collection. It liked to ruin my life. I had the entire garage covered with cans of stuff only to find they weren"t sorted in the least and that guy had kept every bent nail and rusty nail and screw he found. It took me a year to finally clean the mess up. Meanwhile I had projects backing up and sitting on top of the junk because I didn"t have anywhere else to put it. In December 2007 I made a new years resolution that my garage would be clean enough for the car to go in by 1/1/2008 if I had to throw all that stuff away. I had to start throwing the cans away if they were just too assorted or contained mostly bent nails. Having the right fastener is no help if you can"t find it when you need it.
