Trailering Tractors

Ther've been postings from time to time about hauling tractors, but maybe someone can help to nail a few things down. I would like to be able to haul one tractor at a time, say from the size of a Ford N up to something like an Oliver 1650 or IH 806, maybe 7000-8,000 lbs. Can I handle this with a 1-ton, single wheel pickup? What kind of trailer would be best? I've looked at tri-axles with 13" tires and tandem axles with 16.5" rims, goose necks vs. "bumper" pulls; what would be best? I also have a 1-ton stake truck with dual rear wheels, 155" wheelbase, 12' body, the body overhangs the frame by about 12 inches. Would this be better for pulling? Can I use a goose neck with this or is the wheelbase/body too long; usually you see goose necks behind short wheel base 1-tons? Any advice is appreciated.
