Walt,
That link led me to the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine. I had never heard of them. Had you? I decided to find out who they are. Here's some information I found on them.

Institute_of_Science_and_Medicine

However, I HAVE heard of the AMA (American Meteorological Society), NASA, NOAA, NSIDC (The National Snow and Ice Data Center out of the Univ of CO), and the National Science Foundation.

See the following empirical observations. Feel free to research the sources of those observations, then research the sources of studies that supposedly refute global warming. You may find it eye opening.

CRU temperature trend:

NASA GISS temperature trend:

http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/

Satellite readings:

Radiosondes:

http://cdiac.esd.ornl.gov/trends/temp/angell/angell.html

Borehole analysis:

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/paleo/globalwarming/pollack.html

Glacial melt observations:

http://nsidc.org/sotc/glacier_balance.html

Sea ice melt:

Sea level rise:

Proxy Reconstructions:

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/paleo/globalwarming/paleolast.html

Permafrost is thawing:

http://www.newscientist.com/channel/earth/mg18725124.500

All of these completely independent analyses of widely varied aspects of the climate system lead to the same conclusion: the Earth is undergoing a rapid and large warming trend, and Man's activities are contributing to that trend.

Respectfully,
Marc

The saga starts with the following message: Hey guys I have a decision to make. I know what you all will probably suggest and it will probably agree with me way down inside, but here it is. I have a picture blown up and framed in my "tractor room" of a Farmall M. It was my Grandpa's tractor, of which whom I never got to meet. He froze to death getting this tractor out of the barn to pull a truck out of the ditch before I was born. Anyway my dad and aunt had to sell it at the auction, ... [Read Article]
