My old man had one of these. He bought it used with 86K on it. By 125K, it blew the head gasket. He surfaced the head and replaced the head gasket, but it happened again in a few thousand miles. The timing chain is a dog to get back in place since there is no way to lock the tensioner while the chain is slack. The spark plugs don't fire at exactly the same time since the distributor cap is an 8 position model like a V8, the rotor button only contacts one contact point at a time as I recall. The spark plugs are different on the Intake and exhaust sides of the head. I don't recall his mpg being outstanding, even though it was a 5 speed. Just my $.02 VinnieNC
