Not going to say much about tillage but if you are going to plant sweet corn and field corn in the same field make sure you allow enough isolation (either by distance or maturity) so the sweet corn doesn't get pollinated by the field corn. The genetics of sweet corn are changing every year and if you are growing anything but the old su type cross pollination with field corn can sure be a waste of money on newer sweet corn genetics. Also sweet corn requires shallower planting, better seedbed, and warmer soil usually. With a good notil planter set up right good stands of sweetcorn can be achieved. Phil
