When I was between jobs in 1993..I took a sales job at a truck equipment dealer..I sold a hydraulic refurbish on a Louisville single axle snowplow truck for a large community near here.I sold a hydraulic valve replacement , spreader valve replacement, switching from electric controls to lever/cable controls..The job sat around for nearly a month..Finally I got into my grubbies and did the job myself...All worked well , delivered the truck and everyone was happy as a clam..A couple of months later I got a call saying the power angle was drifting when they hit some heavy snow..I checked the cylinders , checked the cushion valve..Rechecked the order sheet...Something was wrong there...Someone had installed a motoring spool instead of a standard valve spool into the angle section..I ordered the correct valve spool , went back out to the communities garage with the replacement spool. Installed the spool and cleaned up to go see the next customer out that way...That was 14 years ago and they still call me with their problem solutions..Kinda makes you feel good about your decisions..I have had problems with dealers, gave them another try with another parts person, sometimes it works out for the best....
