Hi Larry , Good friends are hard to lose . My wife has one too . A 26 year old mustang she got at age 10 months direct from the high country in Colorado when she lived out there . Your horse deserves a spot on the farm that will be respected . We have a pet cemetery in a corner of our windbreak that's around the house . I know how hard it is . I've never been close with a horse but I have with dogs and cats . We have a spot for Blue already set aside for a day that I hope won't be for many more years since my wife adores that horse . I can't say it'll get better because you know you'll alway's miss him . You were a heck of a care giver since he lived to that age , you did exceptionally well by him . He'll wait patiently for the next ride with you . ...Randy
