Farmer dead: carbon monoxide poisoning - tractor.

MENOMONIE, Wis. -- Authorities said a 77-year-old man who died in a barn along with 25 head of cattle and a dog was a victim of carbon monoxide poisoning. Verlyn Schleusner, of the Town of Wilson, was found Monday in the enclosed barn where a tractor had been left running. The Dunn County Sheriff's Department confirmed on Tuesday that the death was caused by carbon monoxide fumes from the tractor exhaust. Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press. All rights reserved.
