I've had five or six over the years and different doctors have offered treatment. The first was a low calcium diet but most were drink lots of water to keep the kidneys active and flushed so the mineral doesn't form the stones. At my weight 'lots' of water is two quarts a day minimum winter, summer, hot or cold. For me it seems to work. My last attack ran from Thursday to Monday. Drinking water is a whole bunch better.
