I agree. After working at Petro Canada. The same oil out of the same tank is not true. Each batch is blended for each specific customer to meet their particular specs. On occasion a batch will fall short of spec and GM, Toyota, Ford, Cat or who ever will not accept the oil. The phone calls start from the refinery to various customers who have lower specs and would purchase a load of discount oil. Funny thing is, all this oil was rated the same SJ spec on the containers. Any body ever heard tell of counterfeit money, bolts, filters and imagine maybe counterfeit oil. If you are purchasing your parts from Bargain Bubbas at the lowest price............. I'll purchase the bolts, lubes and filters at the equipment or vehicle dealer and be certain of the quality. If it's mineral oil. For synthetics which are superior in most applications. It's either Amsoil, Mobil 1, Shell Rottela, Royal Purple or Lubrication Engineers. The rest may say "synthetic" but they are a play on words and fine print.
