I saw a flock of geese in a corn field last week here in Cayuga county. They ruin a lot of wheat but I've never seen them in corn. The resident goose population is exploding and they remain protected because there is no political backbone to allow their control. I think the nipped off tops will not kill the seedling corn if the growth point is still below ground. Corn can take a frost that kills the tops if it is small enough that the growth is still underground. Keep us posted.
