No kidding... I pay $7.50 / 40# (if that) small square. My garden doesn't have the greatest amount of soil, so I grow potatoes above ground in straw...looking at the row today, need another bale since the plants are growing like nobodies business (some of my 'tater plants are 2-1/2 feet high!). These better be darn good spuds by the time I harvest them :)
