Trust me, I would rather have the well/cistern. The water meter is $7700 and another estimated $10 - $15,000 to run the main to the front of the property. Then another $3000 to run a 2 inch line on up to the house! All told, somewhere between $20 and $25,000. But, like I said, the well didn't produce enough to maintain the household. The water district has me by the man jewels.
