Hey Leland, Well the story went like this. Wanted to change my oil so I get on www and go to the JD site and check out their lubes. Seems that the Syn HD-50 is just what I needed. Had and still have no idea what it was to cost, but that doesn't matter now. Get to the dealer and they had the filter but no syn. Hmmmmmm. So I buy a 2.5 gal container of 15w-40 regular HD-50 and go to the local oil dealer to get some Syn......had none of anybody's brand but could order it....I wanted it now!!! So's "Off to see the Wizard"...er ah Wally World, and lo and behold there it sits in a bluish gray container, 5w-40 for $14 a gallon, no less. Said Syn, not Syn blend, so I guess it is the real thing......and walla it's from Shell so I trust it; plus it has all the goodie ratings. So I relubed with 50-50 JD and Rotella. Went out to crank the old girl yesterday, at 40 degrees, and for a tractor said to be a hard starter, she spun right up and lit off with no starting aids. I'm a happy camper. So if you (anybody) ever wonders about why Wally is the world's #1 retailer; here's just another example. Nice talkin again, Mark
