What exactly do you mean it runs bad? Does it miss, not have any power, or just doesn't seem like it opens up like it should? One thing I would check is the the throttle linkage. Where the rod comes out of the fire wall(in the engine compartment) there is a plastic housing. If the housing is cracked, you can step on the gas all you want, but the truck just won't pull like it should. Instead of the rod turning, the plastic piece flexes. Also, with the engine off, have someone step on the gas pedel and hold it to the floor. While they are holding the pedel, take off the air cleaner and make sure the butterflies are open all the way.
