Nathan I agree with you about the overkill, it"s not going to hurt anything, better safe then sorry. My advice would be to get hold of a local DOT, highway patrol ect. that know and deal with on a daily basis trucking laws and regulations and they will tell you what is legal and what you need. If ten people read the laws and regulations most of the time you"ll get ten different ideas of what it says and what it means. I know one thing for sure, ( NOT being legal and or NOT knowing can cost you a bundle ) and laws and regulations change daily. Just my two cents from being involved in trucking for over 38 years.
