Darren, What I don't like about the idea is that the lug nuts are tapered to fit in a matching recess in the holes in the wheels. Also, on steel wheels there is a flat surface that fits flat against the wheel and makes the wheel run true. I guess it would be too much expense and trouble to have the axle extended. I would watch out at yard sales and flea markets, someone might have an old spare wheel. KEH
