This is what I am looking for....about a 12 to 18 horsepower steiger quad track - yes (12 to 18) this is what i want - a slow thing (speed not essential) machine which is more like a tractor than an ATV (steering wheel, reverse, electric start) (yes an ATV can be electric and have reverse) possibly articulating something that would do the following...... haul supplies for fence fixing, misc, haul yard supplies and projects and water wagon in trail behind wagon - maybe pull around a few small square bales - maybe pull an atv sprayer type of deal, pull kids up sledding hill, give the kids something to drive around and learn how to back up, etc..... the reason i would like the quad track deal is because i could use it for all these same purposes in the winter also - just like a real snow cat or snowmobile type of deal ...... I would like it to be like large lawn mower size - have seen that husquarvana (sp) makes an articulated front mount mower that has all four tires the same size - that is about the the right kind of deal - not wild about buying a four wheel atv then buying tracks etc, would rather have a slower simpler, maybe homebuilt job......have also considered a 20 year old kubota tractor without mower - but the winter stuff would be out - any ideas? also have seen the bobcat things - but they just plain are too exoensive for a toy....

The Nuts and Bolts of Fasteners - Part 2 - by Curtis Von Fange. In our previous article we discussed capscrews, bolts, and nuts along with their relative hardness and thread sizes. In this segment we will finish up on our fasteners and then work with ways to keep them from loosening up in the field. Capscrews, bolts and nuts are not the only means of holding two parts together. When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and
