It so happens, that I just had mine apart. It is simple as the post above stated remove the 4 bolts, slide it out and tilt the PTO shaft down so that the pickup clears and remove it. Unless something is broken you should need the plates and gasket. It helps to have some sort of hoist AKA engine crane to hold it to line it up going back in.
