Your folks must be getting up there in age. What does brother think is going to happen when they pass away? There's a good chance you'll be supporting him next. I would check with your state's unemployment office and county social services office. Most states have some program to get people like your brother into the workforce. I hate to be a pessimist, but at 56, the chances of your brother learning to support himself aren't good. Good luck.
