Mystery plug and fuse

I posted some photos in the photo and "help identify" sections. My lawn tractor is a 1975 Simplicity 7016/ Allis Chalmers 716H: There is a plug and fuse on the right hand side of the tractor. I have no idea what these are. I looked in the operators manual as well as in the parts manual and can not find them. Can anyone help out? Thanks in advance, Erik
