It is a great tractor. That tractor should give you years upon years of service. While in high school and college, until this past summer, I worked at a New Holland (ford) dealership in the parts department. This past summer I was fortunate to intern for CNH. The Ford tractors from the 70's until '93 were awesome. Rock solid tractors, easy to repair, with each tractor designed similar to the other. Parts are readily available and the tractor is simple to fix. Steering. I am not familar with the "assisted steering" that he spoke about. The tractors with manual steering were actually fairly easy to steer especially if you have something on the three point such as a bale of hay or a shredder. Just don't try to steer before you have the tractor moving. That is when it gets hard. If you want to know the month, day, year and shift, email me everything on the metal tag that is under the hood. I think its the unit number. It has letters and numbers and should end in an a or b. If you have any other questions, just email me.
