.........with insurance companies.
19 year old son always drove old junkers and saved his money to buy a nice truck.he is out of town on a welding job and he called me last week and told me to find him a new truck.
yesterday he became the proud owner of a 2006 f-350 powerstroke.i called the ins. lady and told her what he had and we needed to insure it.she said that little fender bender that he had a year ago was going to affect the cost some.the bumper on the car he damaged cost them 2112.00. okay i say, get the insurance on the new truck so he can go back to his job monday.
3337.56 A YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
B.S. i tell her!!!!!!!she says these young people just cost us so much.as my blood pressure topped out i asked her why a 2000.00 accident will cost him 10,000.00 over the next five years.
she says iahhh........well.......you see.....i dont know.okay, what ever, i told her.i dont know how young folks can make it?
another example:i pay 400.00 a month for health ins.if i get to sick to work,i lose my job.no job,no ins. coverage.i have to spend a long time in the hospital.once the ins. money is gone, then they take all my savings.when thats gone they get my farm and all my equipment.
or.............i can quit my job and start hanging out a the river and fishing all day.put my kids on medicaid.i can get food stamps and heating assistence.free health clinics and the kids will get free lunch at school.that leaves me the money i make from selling scrap metal the local farmers give me for cleaning it up to buy my daily 12 pack of natural light beer!and say i get really sick, i drve to the local hospital.come on in!no charge!have to stay 2 months in intensive care.NO CHARGE!!!!!
sorry, i guess i shouldnt gripe.its just that me and the kid work seven days a week to have a little something, and then we figure out we are gonna have to get another job if we want to drive a decent truck.its a shame, truly sad.
oh well, better get back to work.diesel may go up, and i need to fill up.
...........barry
