Hmm, spose we've probably most been through it.

Late, late, late one Saturday evening once a "friend" stopped over to borrow one of my pickups, his hot water heater had gone out, needed to get one the following day. Ok, he had a wife and children, no problem. Next day I was out and about and saw his wife driving down the road with one of her girlfriends in my pickup. Hmm, figured maybe needed fittings or such for the new water heater, sent the wife to the hardware (they both had cars???), but no problem, so long as they filled the tank back up when returned it. Sunday comes and goes, no truck - no problem, will return it Monday after work, I suppose. Monday evening, my buddy tools up about half tanked up with his golf clubs in the back of the bed "Didn't get around to it Sunday (for whatever reason), and the day (Monday) was so nice, went out golfing with some buddies (and drinking in my truck), but would take the following day (Tuesday) off, and go get a hot water heater, so needed my truck another day". I didn't say much, drove him and his clubs across town to his house and tossed them both out on the lawn and took my truck back with almost an empty tank. His wife and kids hadn't showered since at least Saturday night the way I figured it, and that wasn't nice, but wasn't my problem. We're not friends anymore, and the story goes that is "my" fault for screwing him over in a time of need.

Yep, spose we've all been there, done that.

Mark
